Due to our remote location we, unfortunately, do not have any local train stations. There is however access to the number 54 bus that runs from Uckfield to Eastbourne. It isn’t an official stop, but you can request it to stop outside our gates.
Blackberry Farm Park is built on flat ground with a mixture of gravel and grass pathways. The paths around the park are mostly gravel, however parts of the farm walk and play area are grass. These areas can be muddy after a period of wet weather. The car park is gravel.
As you arrive to Blackberry Farm Park, you will go straight into our Main Car Park. To the right of the Main Entrance, we have 2 disabled spaces which can be identified by the Blue Disabled Signs. We have plenty of parking spaces with 1 overflow car park which is grass. All car parking is free of charge. Please always take care for moving vehicles in the car parks.
Access to the Café is accessible for wheel-chairs. During busy periods, admission is purchased at the Kiosk which is to the right of the door to the Café. During quiet periods, admission is purchased in the Café.
We do offer free admission for carers with the production of a valid DLA/PIP letter or Carer ID. We also accept Compass Cards.
Access from the Café to the main site is through a gate and gravel path.
Most of the areas of the farm are gravel which is suitable for wheel-chair access. There are areas of the Farm Walk which are grass which may be harder for wheel-chairs, especially when it’s muddy.
Due to the nature of our farm, a few of our activities may not be suitable for certain types of disabilities, but all our staff are understanding and are as helpful as they can be. There are some age restrictions for Pony Rides and this is only for Public safety reasons.
All buildings are single story apart from Clucky’s Play Barn. Seating is available throughout the farm.
We have low level hand washing facilities next to the Small Animal Barn.
Our Blackberry Cafe is wheel-chair accessible.
Blackberry Farm Park has 1 toilet available for only disabled visitors. It is located close to the play area and diagonally opposite to Clucky’s Play Barn.
The sinks in both toilets are fitted with push-down taps, paper towel dispensers and bins. The Small Animal Barn also has a hand dryer.
We have baby changing facilities in both sets of toilets.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
We pride ourselves in having many qualified First Aiders and First Aid kits around the park.
